Workplace Wellbeing:
Creating Capacity to Care
Organisational Training Workshops - Prioritising Health & Wellbeing
Summary
The NHS Staff Survey 2023 revealed that that four in ten staff often or always feel worn out at the end of their shift and three in ten staff feel burnt out because of their work. This workshop aims to equip participants with the tools to alleviate the pressures and redress the balance.
‘Creating Capacity to Care’ is a one-day workshop focussing on burnout and other psychological phenomena common amongst Health Care Professionals, reinforcing the importance of prioritising our own health and wellbeing. Bespoke to each organisation, the workshop will enhance individuals’ intrinsic self-efficacy and locus of control, mitigating the psychological risks associated with ‘emotional labour.’
Often, individuals join public services with altruistic motives, yet remain unaware of the ‘silent River of public service,’ a term coined to describe the lack of discourse around the psychological toll of emotional labour.
Through real life experiences and interactive exercises, this workshop will help realign HCPs to their initial reason for entering the health care profession via:
• Inspiring them to proactively engage in their own journey of personal development
• Educating, and empowering participants to develop the right habits
Additional benefits include:
Evidence to the CQC of your commitment to improving patient care through staff training
Evidence of contribution towards NHS England’s Promise to provide a positive and compassionate working culture
A practical ‘toolkit’ to help delegates prioritise their wellbeing in the workplace

Case Studies and Testimonials
My session’s with Levi were thought-provoking, emotive, compassionate, challenging and something I looked forward to each and every week. As a leader in the NHS, the fact that he was also a leader navigating this landscape, was extremely powerful to me. His personal experience of the impact of COVID on the NHS was hard to hear but something that all NHS leaders need to hear and respond to. As the driver for his work, it was something that resonated with me. I came away from our sessions armed with a survival toolkit, and a newfound sense of reassurance that I can not thank Levi enough for. I would recommend his coaching to anyone, no matter your profession, I see it as a purposeful piece of self-care that will be invaluable both in your work life and your personal life.
