  • Theatre and Decontamination Collaboration - strengthening collaboration and communication between theatres and decontamination units to improve efficiency and patient safety.
  • Purchasing New Medical Devices - key considerations when procuring new instruments and devices, including governance, standardisation, clinical need, and whole‑life costs
  • Instrument Coordinators – Role and Responsibilities - discussion on the introduction of instrument coordinators, including their scope of duties such as issue checklists, managing changes, resolving missing instruments, and supporting governance (excluding fast‑track processes).
  • Optimising Existing Instruments and Trays - use and repurposing of older instruments, creating new trays with track‑and‑trace in mind, compliance with HTM 01‑01 (future standards), supporting the green agenda, and achieving cost efficiencies.
