Clinical Engineering Conference 2019
Training Advancements and Experiences
Tuesday 24th September 2019, Wolverhampton Racecourse
The event programme will focus on updating delegates on issues which are particularly pertinent today. Several presentations are about further developing agenda items raised during last year’s membership period.
Both the North and South Clinical Engineering (CE) Best Value Groups are well established. Each year new trusts join NPAG with membership geographically well dispersed within the NHS. The conference has been continually developed and has now been established for 10 years.
With ever increasing budget restrictions departments need to support and pro-actively improve efficiency and safety; hence striving to ensure best value. Trust Boards need consistent assurance that medical devices are being managed effectively and users trained appropriately. It is also vital that we are aware of technological advances and learn from other’s experiences. Additionally, a base understanding as to what ‘clean’ devices are used for in investigations is pertinent in supporting and communicating with all scopes of clinical staff.
Why Attend?
This annual one-day conference provides new insights into issues that are being talked about in real-time, today. An associated exhibition will enable technical staff to have valuable and in-depth discussions with a large number of suppliers / manufacturers (over 25 in 2018) in a relaxed atmosphere. Previous delegate feedback has been extremely positive with 100% of respondents recording the day as Excellent or Good!

An enjoyable and informative day which will be of wider benefit to my organisation.
Very beneficial to my role in Clinical Engineering. As a new attendee, the chance to network was also very valuable.
