Facilities North Best Value Group

The NPAG Facilities North and South BVGs are unique groups enabling NHS Facilities Managers to meet and share new ideas, service innovation, discuss topical issues, measure trust performance, provide cost effective solutions, learn from others creative service redesign and network with likeminded individuals involved in Facilities Management.

The groups have been running for a number of years and have a broad membership from Acute, Community and Mental Health Trusts with members who have a wealth of experience in managing facilities. The NHS are going through a period of unprecedented change with NHS Managers more than ever having to demonstrate continuous service improvement with limited resource and challenging cost improvement programmes.

Beginning life as the ‘Hotel Services Benchmarking Club’ in 1998, our meetings have been hosted by over 50 hospitals. NPAG has worked with Facilities Services Managers, creating an environment for them to continually improve their services.  Consequently members of our groups continue to demonstrate enthusiasm for seeking out improvements and developments in their services, providing a solid basis upon which to provide the best available care for patients.

I have been a member of the Facilities North BVG for a few years now & find this group really beneficial, facilities teams throughout the health sector are all subject to some degree to the same issues and it can be really useful to talk these through either at the meetings or by asking for help via the forum. The networking side is also excellent and I have made many friends, it is always handy to have the number of a colleague to call if you want to talk something through or ask for recommendations. I will definitely be renewing my subscription for another year especially as the pressures on the sector continue to intensify and the Facilities BVG being a network which can provide much needed support.

For me, being a member of the NPAG Facilities North BVG is an ideal networking group. The group is brilliantly run, well organised and superbly supportive. We all face the same obstacles and it’s really helpful to share experiences and ideas to achieve our common goals.

    Facilities North BVG Member, 2022

I have been a member of the NPAG Best Value Group for several years and have chaired this meeting for some of them. I have always found the group to be a great networking partnership and has always added value to my day to day working within my Facilities role. It doesn’t matter what you need to gain knowledge of or problems you need to solve there is always someone within the group or the larger NPAG Family that can answer you or point you in the right direction to solve your particular problem.

The speakers that are brought along to the meetings are always very informative and also provide added value.

I would say that this is a group that all Estates and Facilities professionals should be come Part of an join.
