NPAG Green Plan

NPAG has always been conscious of the need to minimise the environmental impact of its activities. We have undertaken a number of measures over the years aimed at creating a greener service:

  • Reducing the amount of paper used for our national events by providing electronic copies of documents, presentations, etc.
  • Selecting venues for our meetings and events that facilitate travel by train
  • Encouraging working from home where appropriate
  • Minimising waste by using our host Trust recycling facilities where possible.

We also established a national NHS Sustainability Leads network in 2012 – a group that has become increasingly influential.

Recognising the NHS ambition to move towards a Net Zero National Health Service, we have now developed our first NPAG Green Plan, setting out our own proposals to create a greener NPAG.  It is still very much a work in progress, but we are pleased to share it with our members.
