National District Nurses Conference 2021

Excellence in District Nursing and the Post-Pandemic Future

Tuesday 19th October 2021, Friends House, London

Delegate bookings are now closed.

This is a one day conference aimed at NHS  Managers, integrated Managers and SPQ Students within District Nursing.

We will be looking at current developments in District Nursing as there has been a lot work on standards, SPQ qualification, and the NHSE/I ongoing work on the National Community Nursing Plan.

The QNI and NHSE/I have been collecting stories of how district Nurses have met the challenges of the Pandemic and what good practice have come out of experiences.  The conference will showcase this good practice, and how we are looking  to the future.

The presentations will provide delegates with a good overview of the many issues that surround these topics, and the celebration of the progress made.

Key Presentations Include:
  • QNI and DN Leadership
  • NHSE/I Community Nursing lead
  • Reflection and feedback from working through a pandemic
  • University of Chester
  • DNSPQ and Apprenticeship
  • National Wound Care Strategy
The Venue

The conference will be taking place in The Light at Friends House,  Euston Road, London.  Close to the main-line train station, tube and bus links.  The Light is a glorious room, with plenty of space, allowing natural day light to flood into the room.

Exhibition

Delegates will have access to an exhibition throughout the day, with plenty of opportunity to network with representatives from the District Nursing industry. You will also, of course, have ample opportunity to network amongst yourselves – a key element of added value at any conference.

Meet our Sponsors

After the amazing success of the NDNN’s first ever conference in 2019 we have had to deal with the unprecedented impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our nurses and colleagues were already coping with increased activity, increasing stress and increasing vacancies before the pandemic hit, but have proven themselves overwhelmingly in continuing to provide care with compassion and professionalism. This is why we are focusing our second conference on the excellence of District Nursing and looking to the future and how we support our service moving forward.

Chair, NDNN 2021

Integrated Pathway Manager, Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Having been a member of this group for the past 4 years I have found the networking with other likeminded people to be of most value. This has enabled a country wide perspective on issues pertaining to District Nursing which have influence and helped shape the development of strategies and policies to the betterment of patient care delivery.
