Operating Theatres & Decontamination Conference 14th March 2018

Regulations and Standards Updates and Improvements in Practice

“Very interesting & varied content. Good for networking with others. Good for seeing different companies & discussing areas that you may not have normally thought of.”

Donna Robinson, Theatre Manager, Northampton General Hospital

The event programme has been built around subjects suggested by healthcare personnel. The day will touch on subjects Theatre and Decontamination Managers need to know  but have little time to research, study or review during their daily roles.

Why Attend?

Why Attend? Whether you are concerned about the threat of cyber security to your medical devices, you want to know what happens at the MHRA, this conference should have something that managers can walk away with. We will find out where the 5 micrograms protein detection limit came from, and look at case studies from hospitals trying new systems to improve efficiency in Theatres.

Delegates will have the opportunity to Network with industry colleagues, which has proven to be a good tool to gain new viewpoints, innovation, troubleshooting and efficiency savings.

You can tailor the day to suit you with breakout sessions and there will also be access to an exhibition during break times which will allow technical staff to have in-depth discussions with a large number of suppliers in a relaxed atmosphere.

“Really well organised with a broad range of detail. I look forward to building on success.”

Joann Hall, Care Group Manager, University Hospital Southampton

“Each event I have attended I have come back to the department with additional ideas of how to tackle re-occurring problems. Through discussion with other decontamination service providers I was able to identify the corrective actions required by listening to what others had tried and found most effective. I was also able to discuss methods which we had found effective to the others within the group. A problem shared is a problem halved. The conference was well organised and again provided lots of useful information. I would certainly recommend others to attend”

Sheila Ashpole, Deputy Manager Decontamination Services, Bedford Hospital NHS Trust
