Training Workshops
Business Continuity Plans Training Workshops
This workshop will provide delegates with the opportunity to think about how their services are delivered and what critical processes and systems delivery depends upon. Delegates will be shown how to approach a continuity plan and response structure that will keep services running in an emergency or, at worst, expedite service recovery.
The afternoon session will cover testing scenarios. Delegates will split into groups to develop a simple plan to recover a critical service of their choosing from an emergency condition assigned to them. All delegates will participate in plenary session to receive the key elements of each group's planes and discuss the results with their peers and the trainers.

Clinical Professional Development for Occupational Health Nurses
The NPAG now provides the opportunity for Occupational Health Managers to help their nurses develop their practical skills.
These training modules provide a standardised National teaching programme for nurses who are new to Occupational Health. The aim is to provide nurses with the daily clinical and professional skills and competencies that they require to undertake their duties. The practitioner will gain clinical skills, which will support further academic qualifications and training. It is anticipated that a nurse who is new to Occupational Health should complete these training modules within the first 1 - 2 years.
The contents of the six modules have been compiled after discussion with managers and senior nurses in the profession and focus on those skills, which are considered vital in providing an excellent service.

Achieving a Resilient Organisation Training Workshop
Pandemic Influenza, fuel shortages, terrorist activity or loss of your networked IT systems and the critical operations they support – is your organisation able to survive all or any of these threats? Do you have a Major Incident Plan? A Business Continuity Plan or a Pandemic Flu Plan?
These three elements are at the heart of the Resilient Organisation. The National Performance Advisory Group has developed these Achieving a Resilient Organisation workshops as interactive training sessions designed to engage delegates in the process that will keep services running in an emergency, or at worst, expedite service recovery.
These highly participative events should be of particular benefit to those new to Resilience planning and will provide an opportunity to take part in a tabletop exercise.
